In this, white blood cells are the ones that guard the body like soldiers. These all are produced in the marrow of our bones. Even in the bone marrow, a cell grows to two, and then those two more cells. What is Deha Dharma? But when leukemia happens, the cells grow by one or two to 100s. If the number in the body should be 5000 to 11000, and if it changes slightly to 1,00,00 to 2,00,000, then it is cancer of the blood, which is called leukemia.

The disease has the distinction of having two variations. One is acute leukemia, where the cell proliferates at an extremely rapid rate. And so the symptoms will be shown instantly. The second is chronic myeloid leukemia where the cell division is very slow. It stays for a very long time. There were two types of chronic leukemias. 1. Chronic myeloid leukemia2.Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia

What Causes Chronic Myeloid Leukemia?

Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

The very first reason for chronic myeloid leukemia is the change or translocation of 9/22 that is a genetic modification of chromosomes. So that is why 9/22 World CML Day is symbolically referring to the CML day. The reason why 9/22 is CML world day. What does it mean? First things first, we should know about chromosomes. There are 46 pairs of chromosomes in our bodies. When the light is on in these situations, the symptoms are coming gradually. Chromosomal abnormalities 9 and 22 are the major factors that bring about chronic myeloid leukemia. A short section of the 9th chromosome is said to be found in the 22nd chromosome.

By the same token, a segment of the 22nd chromosome is going to the 9th chromosome. This is termed as the translocation. As a consequence of this translocation, a new chromosome named Philadelphia is the one that is formed. Since 9/22 is also the reason for this chromosome difference, September (9) 22 is named World CML Day.

And some of the common symptoms are lethargy, fatigue, frequent fever, loss of appetite, Headache, nose bleeding, bone pain, red spots with blood in the body, chronic myeloid leukemia turns white. When these symptoms appear, it is called chronic myeloid leukemia. How to know CML means that chronic myeloid leukemia will come out in the blood test we do when there is usually fever or infection.

Complete blood count test showing abnormally high white blood cells should be followed by a bone marrow biopsy. Cytogenetic analysis will indicate whether the Philadelphia chromosome is present as a result of transplant in stem cells. CML is diagnosed through this test. Chronic myeloid leukemia is a condition that is followed by four stages, namely, stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, and stage 4. The first stage is chronic, the second is accelerated, and the third is called a blast. If myeloid leukemia is detected in stage 1, it can be said that it is easy to control.

Radiation therapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, and immunotherapy are coming along with chemotherapy. It can be controll, especially with a tablet called imatinib mesylate.

When treatment, medicine, and therapy are not controll, a bone marrow transplant is done for leukemia, stem cells are collect from one’s family members, and a bone marrow transfusion is done. When taken from outside members and not from family members, there is a high chance of getting infections, even with a little risk. Cells from outside may not enter the patient’s body. To prevent this, immunosuppressants are given more to suppress the immune system. CML can be treat if observe and treat at the initial stage.
