Chronic myeloid Leukemia can affect both children and adults, but myeloma or myeloid is more common in adults. Every year more than one lakh people are diagnose with blood cancer in India
What Is Chronic Myeloid Leukemia?
Blood is always flowing in our bodies. Red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets are the most common. In this, white blood cells protect our bodies like soldiers. These are born in the corner of our bones. Like this, in the foot sequence, one particle needs two, and then two more. What is Deha Dharma? However, when leukemia occurs, the cells grow by one or two to 100s. If the number in the body should be 5000 to 11000, if it increases slightly to 1,00,00 to 2,00,000, it is blood cancer, called leukemia.
It has two types. One is acute leukemia, in which the cell divides too quickly. And the symptoms will come out immediately. Second is chronic myeloid leukemia in which cell division is very slow. It lasts for many years. There are two types of chronic leukemia. 1. Chronic myeloid leukemia 2. Chronic Lymphatics Leukemia
Why Does Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Occur?
Chronic myeloid leukemia is caused by translocation of 9/22, i.e., genetic changes in chromosomes. That is why 9/22 September (9) 22 is symbolically referr to as CML day. There’s a reason 9/22 is World CML Day. What does that mean? First, we need to know about chromosomes. There are 46 pairs of chromosomes in our body. In these cases, when the light comes, the symptoms appear. Chromosomes 9 and 22 are mainly affect in CML. That means a part of the 9th chromosome goes into the 22nd chromosome.
Similarly, part of the 22nd chromosome reaches the 22nd chromosome. This is called trans location. Due to this translocation, a new chromosome called Philadelphia is formed. As 9/22 is also due to this chromosome difference, September (9) 22 is called World CML Day.
Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Rejection And Symptoms
Chronic myeloid leukemia occurs in people of all ages. It is seen in young children and adults. It mostly comes from men. CML causes the white blood cells to malfunction. With which the immunity is low, and infections are easily spread. And lethargy, fatigue, frequent fever, loss of appetite, Headache, nosebleeds, bone pain, red spots with blood in the body, chronic myeloid leukemia turn white. When these symptoms appear, it is called chronic myeloid leukemia. How to know CML means that chronic myeloid leukemia will come out in the blood test we do when there is usually fever or infection.
Abnormally increase white blood cells in the complete blood picture test and bone marrow test should be done. A cytogenetic test will reveal the presence of Philadelphia acquired as a result of transplantation in the stem cell. CML is diagnosed in this test. CML is symptomatic, followed by stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3. The first phase is chronic, the second is accelerat, and the third is called blast. If myeloid leukemia is detect in stage 1, it can be said that it is easy to control.
Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Medicine And Treatment
Once there was no proper treatment for CML medicine. Many people died in 5 years if they were affect by leukemia. Only 30% of people survive leukemia. This was once a word in modern medicine, but treatment and medicine have come. Most of them can be cure with the help of treatment and chemotherapy. Radiation therapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, and immunotherapy are coming along with chemotherapy. It can be controll, especially with a tablet called imatinib mesylate.
When treatment, medicine, and therapy are not controll, a bone marrow transplant is done for leukemia, stem cells are collect from one’s family members, and a bone marrow transfusion is done. When taken from outside members and not from family members, there is a high chance of getting infections, even with a little risk. Cells from outside may not enter the patient’s body. To prevent this, immunosuppressants are given more to suppress the immune system. CML can be treat if observe and treat at the initial stage.
